Think my first post was a snarky comment about people willing to pay many thousands for expensive bikes but cannot pay R200 for an event entry, almost got my head bitten off but like a bad rash I stuck around and the hub still hasn't managed to get rid of me... Frosty Posted March 19, 2021 Share I joined in 2007. Google found this for me. Not 100% sure it’s my first post, but it’s close. I still have that blue band around my fork steerer, to this day. I do know though that his first book helped me through a pretty dark patch in my life and that little yellow piece of rubber was a positive reminder of that. So while these days having one is frowned upon, I do still have mine in the drawer next to my bed.
