Phuma as a club should be looked at, as well as investigations into 2 Oceans etc...

It's not difficult to qualify for Oceans/Comrades. If you can't qualify legally you likely won't finish either.

can only be two motivations, either you're good enough to finish slowly but can't run a marathon in quali time or just weren't organised enough to be in shape by closing date OR

(more likely) probably going to cheat on the day too.

I witnessed some runners who will even sneak into starting pens higher than what they qualified for by eg temp adjusting their batch letter or by some other means.

Since when is there a CC batch and what is the quali times for that?
