My point is that they don't really care how well you can run, but rather have you done an affiliated event.

I still don't understand though. All events have affiliated qualifying events. Take for example the Boston Marathon... Try find a marathon in SA that can be used to qualify for that

So to everyone doing CT this weekend are you happy with your seedings? I sort of expected the B I received but see there are already moans and groans from others regarding theirs.

I got E. Not chuffed but I didn't have any race for them to reference. I wonder how many groups there are in total.

Think G is the lowest. My buddy and his uncle also didn’t enter any race times and they ended up in G.

I only had a half marathon from March, not sure how much it helped. The only advantage is that I don't like starting too fast. It will take some doing to catch up but if I'm early enough, I can stand at the front of E, and basically be D.

Also inn B, it is is what it is, was not expecting to be up there with the racing snakes!

Weather looking good, nice and cool, not much wind.

Edit: Hopefully my rotator cuff injury from racing Bela-Bela 5150 will not impede too much, been ok up to 30kms so far, but painful once stopped running... pain in shoulder also takes away pain in legs
