Frosty Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Wow! Lekker seeing the GC contenders and a few other competing for the sprint.Still no Eye-Tie win.
coppi Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 has NQ made it back to the peloton?Yes,thanks to sportsmanship from TD and as I have said before, NQ needs to improve his downhill skills, and get a personality Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now the long wait till Tuesday afternoon. Hope we see some fireworks.
shaper Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Also NQ raced for finish bonus seconds, when in fact he was allowed to rejoin the Pelton after crashing!!... He should have sat up, same as TD did when he crashed
Bub Marley Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Can someone explain to me why Dumoulin stopped everyone after Quintana fell? As far as I'm concerned, descending is a skill just like climbing, sprinting. If you can't descend properly and crash, that's your problem. Absolutely no reason for the peloton to stop. It's actually ridiculous. I can understand if they had stopped the other day with the motor bike incident, but today was just poor bike handling by Quintana. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

You could clearly see that TD did not even bother to contest for the sprint. As they say, no good deed goes unpunished. He surely won't make this mistake again.
coppi Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 I have never liked NQ, after today even less so! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProAbsolutely agree.Vinales pressures Rossi, Rossi outbreaks himself and goes down. Vinales sportingly sits up and waits for Rossi to remount and catch up..And that's a teammate.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProYah, I agree, its unlikely any other rider or team would do that so I hope he isnt expecting a return of favour, because its unlikely. It was common back in the days, you know, the good ole days, and Lance waited for Jan, and Jan waited for Lance and everyone waited for Tyler Hamilton ...........But Yah, I am getting ahead of myself,........ but as an example last year was the same, when Kruijswijk (in Pink actually) went down and Nibali took off, and it got him the win. I have disliked Nibali and seen him as nothing more than an opportunist ever since. I never really liked Quintana either, I see him as much the same, an opportunist, and in my opinion he has never really done anything spectacular, frankly I cant see where all the fuss about him comes from, he occasionally climbs well, but thats it,....lots of other more well rounded athletes in the peleton now.
