Yes, but are the ones who stuffed it up still there?

Does that really matter so much to you?

AS long as the leadership is strong, accountable and has a plan that includes good governance then even the people who stuffed up can make a useful contribution.

If there was theft then thieves must go serve their time atoning for their sins

Yes accountability matters that much to me. You think I'm out for blood, I'm not.

For CSA to work, it needs to have competent management.

Sound like something the ANC would say when people question the SAA saga :P

You're wrong. They don't have a plan on how to fix SAA.

they would avoid mentioning any plan in public address.

Ok DnD

I assume you are part of CSA, or linked to it.

Otherwise an "open letter" to CSA

Here is a nice challenge for CSA to help improve credibility and to help everyone to distinguish between facts and BS.

Can the CSA please share their vision with us, the CSA paid up members?  Or for that matter, on a public forum like the Hub, it will do wonders to dispel any myths!!

Then please share the strategy for each of the pillars supporting this vision?

And then the plans with due dates and people accountable for them?

And then progress against each plan - on track or off track.

If off track - what mitigation plans do CSA have in place to get back on track again.

This is what all accountable businesses do to ensure their investors remains confident in the business and invest accordingly - but I am sure you know these basics.

We are waiting......

To be honest, after the way you insulted everybody on the Dopers thread, I dont take your opinion very seriously.

Did you ever take it seriously?

I did not!

This thread (like most on the Hub) is going in circles.

I am part of a club (+-350 members), we do our bit for charity and support all the races in our area and quite a few in other provinces. I chatted to a couple of guys on Sunday and most of them cant be bothered to get a license.

So what should I tell them this weekend, why should they get a license?

What is the CSA doing with the money? Is there a clear plan in place to see what they are planning to do?

And nailing the couple of members you have because of riding at K2C, k@k taste in the mouth..

I am only affiliated as a member so I can't comment on what happens at an executive management level. But if you're really interested then read here: https://www.cyclingsa.com/governance/

there's definitely a few people in the management structure that need to be removed. The organisation needs strong leadership from the top down. talkers need to be replaced with doers who can talk.

At a regional level, WPCycling is doing an admirable job even it is not without its own troubles. All the WPcycling events I've participated have been well run and good value for money.

You cannot have a good CSA without first building a strong regional body. What are you okes doing to support your regional bodies?

.....competent volunteer management. Just like clubs.

Who on this thread are currently in any cycling club management structure?

I only have one little question:

What does CSA do for road safety? NOTHING | Zip | Zero <--- True story

Tried for years to get CSA's attention through creating awareness on social media highlighting the out dated rules of the road, cycling incidents, the carnage on our roads where many cyclist have lost their lives. Nothing happened, CSA didn't lift a finger, just wanted our money at events.

I now try my best to avoid events sanctioned by CSA.

CSA will not see one zim cent from me if I can help it.

I need to see their willingness and a huge effort from CSA to be our voice regarding road safety before I'll trust them again.
