Amazing how things work out - one of the guys that works at my parent's complex was in an accident a while ago. He saw me on Wednesday morning and said he really wants to start riding again. Wednesday afternoon he had a new bike thanks to Chavo!

what to convert a RockShox reba fork to manual lockout or do away with the remote lockout bits and bobs entirely

That ring that holds the housing just slides off

 

However to make it manual (if you can find a lever) you'll also have to remove the internal spring that makes it kick back when you release the remote

i don't have that ring that slides off. I want one. 

 

True to Uni doffnes, I've done a dumb on this fork... i don't care / need to have remote lockout, but currently fork is sitting on locked, permanently, with that "thingamabob" LBS can hold it open for me, without having to replace a bunch of other stuff. ( anyone that makes any sense of that ... kudos    )

So my son and i have a holiday project to repurpose an old 29er frame into a lamp.

i am short a few bits hope you can help 

i am looking for old non usable damaged or worn parts that i can cut clean paint etc

 

1) Hollowtec crank ( can have striped threads scuffs i will be cutting it in half)

2) Seat post 27.2

3) Stem 

4) Handlebars 

5) XT or XTR leavers no calipers 

 

If any one has old damaged parts please DM me
