What should Rogla be doing? Its so early to have red.

Should they give it away for a bit? crush it early and get 5 mins lead like the old man said after tdf? or just survive and hope a sprint team or two will do some work in the peloton?

...

Grief, never mind, Dan Martin yoh, tears

Quite eerie too..

The autumn colours are beautiful

I’ve discovered that Autumn in Europe is simply stunning albeit rather cold [emoji1], I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the colours though.

Sorry, only getting on the topic of Froome now.

If you look at it, this year doesnt mean anything to him, he has a rep sheet long enough to get him a contract. ISN hasnt even paid him anything yet and they are already reaping rewards.

These guys are billboards. How much airtime has INEOS and Froome received, because of his comeback and lack of form. How many people looked up ISN because Froome has signed for them.

Media will be all over Froome next year, because he has new kit, a new bike, new team mates. Will he have form, everyone wants top know. They will get enough media out of just this year and next year to justify 4 years pay Cheque.

The fact that he is a hot topic, even here, now, when he drops 8 minutes, proves this.

To add to your points above, he also hasn’t “raced” a grand tour since the Tour in 2018. The Vuelta is perfect for him to get his fitness up, the build on it through the summer (if he travels to SA like before). As you say, Ineos have nothing to gain from sending him to the Vuelta, but ISN do benefit, both for his fitness and exposure.

Always beautiful to see how Irish athletes wear their heart on their sleeves, like the maillot vert in Sam Bennett and yesterday's stage victor. Who can ever forget that interview with Michael Woods after winning his first WorldTour stage win shortly after the sad news of their stillborn son.

Thank you for all the messages. A very special day. Emotions got the better of me. So much time away from my 3 girls the last few months and things haven’t gone great but finally it all came together.

Back at it again today.

Dan Martin

Wondering when Willem's contract is up as he is certainly showing off his strength. Like most racers, the Vuelta is the last opportunity to 'CV' your ability to perform at the highest level.

With regards to salvaging results for the year, Pinot also just could not perform as well as he would've wished to with his back issues. The colder weather would also not support pain and discomfort levels, generally. Back to the 100 percent by next season, hopefully, for the Frenchman.
