Gibbons is not riding is he? No showing off the SA jersey

No, but Stefan De Bod is there - he must have slipped past my radar (I am sure its discussed at length elsewhere)

Yep excited to see how he fairs against the worlds best as he is somewhat of a TT specialist.

very good point you made. apart from the actual world's ITT, the Tour is probably this biggest ITT event on the calendar (I'm discounting Olynpics as not all choose to do it)

Today should tell us whether Geraint and Roglic have recovered enough to be still seen as serious competitors for yellow and also whether Carapaz has improved his time trialing skills sufficiently not to lose too much time to Pogacar.

For stage honours I would put my money on Stefan Kung but will not discount the chances of Van Aert or even the world champion.

MVDP finished 2019 Tour of Britain ITT in top 10 - yes, it was a shorter stage, and who knows what the parcours was like, but he did beat Dowsett and Sivakov on the day. So as an indicator, hardly reliable, but it shows he wasn't terrible.

Today's a different day on a different stage and merely a data point going forward.

Its not fair that one human has so much talent.

I hope he gets crushed today.

A picture stage for GC, especially Gee and Roglič, who’d want to gain bags of seconds and climb back up the ladder?

I’m following Keldeman with interest s as he’s been through a rough time with injuries and have shown GC promise a few seasons ago. Wonder what Carapaz can demonstrate?

27 kms thereabouts - emptying the tank evenly - gonna be interesting to say the least especially on a slippery course.

He is also lying 7th overall for the white jersey, 5 mins behind Pog, so a good TT today might move him up a few spots. Go Stefan. He isn't a terrible climber either.

We had taken in an afrikaner three weeks ago.

The boy said he looks like a hyena, and was named Jagter.

I'm not sure if you mean an africanis, or a seriously weird looking person of dutch heritage?

(I'm kidding obviously and agree with all the other comments about your brilliant charity work)

I take it you mean Alaphillipe as World Champ, because Gana is TT World Champ and he isn't riding.
