The prosecutor, who apparently is working on 13 serious cases at the moment (!) only got to take all the witness statements yesterday. I suspect it's just an overloaded system.

That sucks man. Justice delayed is justice denied.

I cant recall clearly but at the time was there not speculation of the driver being under the influence and the fact he tried to flee the scene but the car was too damaged to do so? None of those facts in the article?

Surely that would have a much greater impact on the jail time or sentence handed down?
