Just been cycling in Rwanda. Some spectacular scenery and a great place to ride a bike.

Gorgeous photos! I'm assuming you were there for some other reason and just rode a bike? Or did you go to Rwanda specifically to ride there?

It is indeed! Where did you go? Photo 2 looks like it could be Nyungwe Forest area.

The second photo is Nyungwe Forest. The first one is after I came out of a valley about 270km east of Kigali. Bikepacked all around Rwanda.

Great and well organised event. Very interesting country and I could do this race at a fraction of the cost of our SA races. Air tickets to Rwanda are relatively cheap. All you need is a weeks leave.

Very jealous!

More pictures please, remember that you cannot post too many pictures :)

Thanks, been idly looking at doing the bit up the west along the shores of Lake Kivu from Nyungwe to the Volcanoes staying in guest houses for a while, but havent got serious about it yet  :D

You have to take your climbing legs with. They don't call it the Land of a 1000 Hills for nothing! I got to see volcanoes, one of the great lakes and ride through a rain forest all within 170 odd kms.

Handiwork of the UCT architecture students. My oxygen deprived  brain (it's a steep hill that) first thought it said "think"  But I suppose "ink" is more important to some than "think". :whistling:

All I see is a beautiful COLNAGO. No offence to the architecture students.

Only since having kids have I realised the brilliant invention that is wet wipes. They are brilliant. Nothing cleans my Jura better than wet wipes.

Just don't flush them down toilets because they flog together which leads to blockages.
