All that sky and sun.... jealous i am

I was going to respond to your post from yesterday that one can indeed veg on the couch and stuff your face with cake no matter the weather, and then have a little brag about the blazing sunshine we were seeing in Joburg.

Luckily I didn't, because the final 4kms of my run later that afternoon was in one of Joburgs typically cataclysmic hail and thunder storms.

It was actually hilarious. I must have been quite a sight.

Got to know some of the rocks a lot closer than I wanted to today, was shown some of the more tech trails by Hilton ( the trail builder, not the town) and ended up doing a scorpion, due to lack of skills, loose slippery rocks and hesitation.

Some cuts and bruises, but managed to stay out of the emergency room. There is enough ugly stuff on the internet, my bloody mutt is not going to be one of them.

Gonna spend the rest of the day lounging around, feeling sorry for myself.

Ouch .... maybe time for a new forum name .....

Had one almighty close call myself this morning .... front started drifting on the loose stuff on the inside of the berm ....

Timely reminder to always stay super alert .... nice long slow turn, and I was mid line, instead of on the outside of the berm .... Got a solid wake-up call when the front wheel slid out !!  Thankfully there was enough berm and enough nobblies to save my bacon ....

Yes, ebikes and MTB's can share the same trails.  I hung back, knowing three turns later the trail opens up .... Only a short distance later the gent pulled over and let my pass.  Thanks.

Just a perfect morning here in Eden - we’ve had so much rain and the colours are just so crisp

I’m going to post the following a few times but here’s the first - get a garmin varia because knowing what’s coming is life changing

I love mine and I have the model before yours, the older first version. Still works 100%.
