I did your elevation in 50km today

I have never ridden 160km however which you regularly do and I better toughen up soon as I have entered 2 100milers

We also need to start doing some elevation as we prepare for the MalutiD90 in September. The equivalent for us (your elevation and distance) would be a lap of Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve.

Woke up to a wonderful morning, and the weather forecast was perfect ... so I bravely put on my "Rule 5" shirt

Sun was up, but a constant spray from the wet road ....

Through Durbanville the road surface dried up and it was simply PERFECT riding weather.

Farmers must be super happy with the seasonal rain.  Good start to the wheat crop.

And just over the next hill I was swallowed up by thick mist ..... Felt like a frozen popsicle by the time I got to Philladelphia ....

Nothing a big cup of filter coffee could not rectify.
