Ugh this thread is making me feel so sorry for myself these last two weeks. Been fighting the plague nonstop and only starting to clear up now. On top of that it feels like we are getting so much rain in CT at the moment, so gaps to go ride some trails (without destroying them) seem few and far in between at the moment.
I just want to ride my fn bicycles outside man😩

My sinusses kept getting worse and worse ...

Woke up with that dreaded inflamed throught last week.  Using last of the meds today.  Managed a "brisk walk" yesterday.  Super happy, as Trans Augrabies starts on Thursday.

Was "strange" being stuck indoors on Saturday ... with thee best riding weather ....

Heal up soon Morne 👍

What makes it even worse is, since I cant ride, i spanner on my bikes. When I spanner, I want to spend money haha. Bled all my brakes this weekend, topped up tubeless, serviced droppers..slipped and bought a new saddle for the hardtail. The rain and plague better let up soon…

I've always wanted to ride/train in the Western Cape.
Today Gauteng failed to disappoint... cold, wet, windy meant I stay indoors (MyWhoosh).

After my shinanigans yesterday I apparently require 64hours of rest 😬

I was considering a 30min idt session but my body battery is on 5 🤦🏻‍♂️

Late evening 40km exploration.

The simplicity of a bicycle and the joy it brings are not measurable .

The only way to stay sane when you miss your family so much, and not get tunnel vision.

They are really narrow and it could potentially be dangerous going round sharp bends . The roads only really wide enough for one & half cars. So you hug the hedgerow and hope. To much stop start for my liking as well

The roads are quiet though and the scenery is awesome. Still think I prefer a wider open roads like in SA. Plus some of the country lanes aren’t in great condition. Could ride my gravel bike rather .

Yip it's getting expensive but at least the bikes are ready to go as soon as there's some good weather and trails have dried up a bit.

So desperate for a ride I'm off to Joburg to see if the weather is better that side 🤣
