I wasn’t aware we could ride there. I saw another friend had been there, and asked him about it. Much easier riding it than running, when dry.

For me it’s too short to ride, or too many intersections to cross to make it longer.

Riding.

I wasnt as fit back then as I am now, so it was decently long enough for me, especially as the repeats added up.

I recall one of many full moon nights on the rocky Schoenmakerskop coast, I worked and stayed in and surfed that stretch in my early twenties, when one of those surfaced and chilled no more than a metre from me for perhaps half an hour.  Just silently stayed in one another’s company.  Seemed simultaneously normal and magical.
