This is built as a gravel grinder. I live in the KZN Midlands with numerous district back roads linked with wonderful country roads (tar). When I had my road bike I always wanted to take a turn onto a dirt patch and link two great roads etc... but wouldn't do it on my expensive, carbon Italian steed. So I sold it, built a steel gravel eater and am loving exploring my 'back yard'. [emoji106]

We also have long gravel roads here, and a more comfy thicker wheeled roadbike would be fun. I've often thought of putting dropbars and skinny tyres on my Ragley. It would make it a more versatile machine, a true gravel grinder.

First time at Wolwespruit I didn't have an incident, go me, I did however have zero confidence, which caused many almost-incidents. Still fun!

Did you check out its toes?

Yes.

(actually, you are not the first one to ask me that :)  )

They were very dirty and smelly. But it was to be expected as this happened at Rietvlei which is in the South of JHB. It s a very rough neighbourhood, so most cameltoes are dirty and smelly there.

(Just kidding - couldnt resist taking a poke at the Alberton guys - i am so used to getting it from all sides about being an East Rander) :whistling:

Did  Breedts for the first time today.

Never been too interested as there's "not much to it".

Not saying it's easy, but I'm a singletrack kind of guy.

Had a great morning out with mates, albeit a VERY chilly start!

Spectacular views and super fun downhills!
