Imana Wild ride last week, amazing experience.. very different to most events..

No rush, can take time to enjoy the scenery..

Did you do the race or the ride?

A bit late posting this... been a little preoccupied.

My little guy was ill and  was admitted to hospital to be put on a drip :( over the weekend ..Effing rotavirus :cursing:

Anyway he's home now :)

before all this happened I was at Northern Farm taking a triathlete in training on a MTB ride to show her what fun cycling is all about :whistling:

Must tell the little story behind this next shot... 2 ladies were on the trails and I kept seeing them as they passed me when I'd stopped to take some pics, then I'd catch up and pass them and the same happened a couple times.

The one said

MTB Lady "What's up with you always stopping?"

Me "taking photos"

MTB Lady "Oooohhhhh.. I thought girls just did that"

Me " No, those are called selfies" :P

The Triathlete in Training had a couple spills but nothing serious, mostly from going too slow then not uncleating quick enough... as in this instance :D  fortunately she landed on a bed of soft grasspost-6012-0-02149200-1501585040_thumb.jpg

The ride concluded with her saying it's the most fun she's had a bike (but will still carry on tri'ing  )

and it's not the same as her usual rides that are rather serious.. minimal chatter, minimal laughter..if any.

Glad I'm not of the sleeveless unsociable species I've seen in the cradle

This afternoon was my first ride after writing off my Bakkie last week.

Bike was in the back. Had it at the shop to check if everything is aligned still, and got it back yesterday with a clean bill of health.

When you drive into the back off a truck, rip off the roof and canopy of your Bakkie, and climb out with only whiplash, then you know that or wasn't your time. And that life needs to be lived well.

Helderberg has seen a lot of maintenance, and is running saweeeeeetly.

Lovely having longer days again as well.

Pic of my ex Bakkie.
