This afternoon was my first ride after writing off my Bakkie last week.

Bike was in the back. Had it at the shop to check if everything is aligned still, and got it back yesterday with a clean bill of health.

When you drive into the back off a truck, rip off the roof and canopy of your Bakkie, and climb out with only whiplash, then you know that or wasn't your time. And that life needs to be lived well.

 

Helderberg has seen a lot of maintenance, and is running saweeeeeetly.

Lovely having longer days again as well.

With flood warnings send out on Thursday and no serious rain last night I went to check if the river mouth opened through the night.

Hero @Hobby Park....It's been a while...

Man these trails are good!!!

When it's rocky, it's ROCKY!! (but fun rocky) and when there's flow... there's SO MUCH flow!

Alex is doing a stellar job maintaining these trails!

I HIGHLY recommend you guys who normally do the Avianto/Cradle etc to give the trails a bash.. it's SO worth the extra 15 min drive

Nobody has managed to stick the loop. The first and only attempt to my knowledge, ended with serious taxes being paid.

After almost 3 months off the bike due to laziness, did short 11km yesterday and nice almost 30km this morning past Klein Brak river mouth and saw this "Duinemol" looking for protection in the ground.
