So often we get up look out the window and decide it's not a good day for a ride, weather looks dodgy for example ... But go out and in almost all cases it turns out an absolute cracker ride!dfc49e154c5c647a2f9ad87a62a64592.jpg

You are quite correct, on those flat rocks near the end of Twin Towers ... you know just before that last piece that will rip what's left of your tender legs off [emoji20]

????.. Geeez I dread that last piece going up the old downhill track . I think my arms generally hurt as much as my legs.

What doesn't kill you right .....????

Did the "seven passes" and the "green Mamba" climbs in Wellington that will be part of the 2018 Cape epic.

Dewaldsss, how is the feeling/handling of the upside down fork compared to a normal one, can you feel any difference?

Hou die rubber op die grond!

@BSG

I enjoy the fork, always smooth because the seals/stanchions are always lubed.

Won't say there is a major difference to a normal fork, but it looks killer.

I can see that for XC racing it might be a bit tricky as when changing the wheel the stanchions can move and rotate making it a bit more time consuming getting the thru-axle through and tightened. but other than that is super plush and smooth

Me-myself-I ..... Atlantic route all along the 12 Apostles (with the big guns), through the Waterfront (new MOCAA museum in the old grain silos), via Woodstock to Obs "Open Streets" initiative and back home (people playing soccer, walking their dogs,riding bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, wheelchairs, music pounding, all in the middle of the road)

Job done, we headed to Augrabies for one day, and a short ride ... Pleasantly surprised to see Augrabies welcomes cyclists !

Crossed the first water crossing .

The second water crossing was much longer, and no bridge .... we know the rest of this trail as we have done it previously with our 4x4 - NICE !!  But I was not in the mood for cycling with wet shoes ... maybe next time

time to head back to Calvinia, and another morning ride ...
