Nevermind, all the T's and C's. The trails really aren't that great.

I mean it's a beautiful valley, but the trails aren't well maintained and are very limited. You can go and ride MUCH better trails in Stellies for absolutely zero rands. Or you could join the Winelands club AND Tygerberg MTB for less than a quarter of the price ( where you'll have access to world class single track and stunning scenery).

Not sure what exactly these Lourensford okes a growing in that valley, but they should seriously consider smoking less of it. Seems they have lost touch with reality.

On the other hand, if you're the kind of person that actually wants to pay this much for "exclusivity" it is perhaps best for us not to cross paths.

I would've thought R3000 weeds out most of us already 😁

R250 a pop. but more than 6 times then you need to sign up for membership.

Is this some tax fiddle or a BEE tender type thing where it's basically money laundering?

It seems like Christo Wiese is recuperating the money he lost in the Steinhoff debacle from mountain biking and clay pigeon shooting. I mean, they even say you get to shoot "real bullets" and all. What's not to love?

Insane - I'd like to know how may riders have actually paid for this - Even social elite rich dudes on MTB's would surely laugh at it

My worry with stront like this is how long before the other clubs think it’s a good idea to ask this much?

We already have to deal with golfers on bikes…soon we’ll have to deal with their club membership models too.

at 14k a year i’d want complimentary tax evasion services, designer drugs, open bar and a board that tells everyone im better than them - preferably illuminated…and gold. Also, a permanent shuttle service, trail sweepers and if I even see a rut in the trail bigger than a R5 coin….I want my money back.

Memberships are sold out. Membership can have x4 riders and can cycle anytime of the week now.

The fees are already insane but the strict limitations on when & how long you can ride an even bigger buzzkiller for me.

The requirement to be off the trails by 11h30 makes it real hard to plan a long ride to the far side of the farm to work in more trail options.

So if its true that you can now cycle anytime of the week it would be a slight improvement, but I am no hurry to be back given all the other riding options we have around the peninsula.

Yes from next year you can ride anytime. I don't know how day passes wil work or if even will be available but Noel from clay pigeon shooting can be contacted for more info.
