Yeah, I'm glad to report that there were just a tad more than 15 riders present.

Amazing turnout, thanks to everyone that pitched.  Anyone that has pictures and videos of the ride, please share it.

Had a lekker chat with Mayco Member Rob Quantas at the Civic Centre, and he is now well aware of the condition of the "safe" cycle route, and the challenges that's there. They are having a meeting with all the major role players tomorrow, and there is definitely an urgency from COCT to resolve the issues faced.

Just waiting for the go ahead then I'll post the one's I saw

I'm not sure how cycling protesting works..

Do we cycle to the venue or drive there and cycle from there?

Will there be coffee?

Will I be detained like in 1987?

Is it still single file cycling, or is there a designated pacemaker?

Amandla! Shimano!

I also want to congratulate SP on a job well done. What he accomplished and organised in such a short period of time is a truly amazing feat. Thank you very much for doing something, not just join the chorus of negative Nancie's out there.

He is an unassuming person who wants to stay out of the limelight, but still makes things happen. Thank you from each and every one of us.

And to every cyclist who made the effort to attend, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Our combined voice will be heard, that we made loud and clear this morning.

Quite a turnout. Good show of bodies and representatives.

We cycled from home as we missed the shuttle to the protest venue.
We left our protest banners at home on account of the windy conditions…kite biking is not a thing yet.
Coffee was had at home…with rusks.
I was frowned upon for jumping stairs….so almost detained again.
Single file protocol and discipline was maintained by all.

A good morning was had.

Looks like it was a good turnout, sad I couldn't join (although was in church praying for safety and action 🙂 ).

Any updates on actions or promises by any authorities we can look out for?

there's a CPF meeting happening this morning at 10, i'm told the Mayor will be there but not confirmed
