I think after the week he has had will probably be a bit more careful with his pops going forwards,.. On the one he sent me he didn't even have the correct date/ year nor spell my name correctly which really just shows how blasé he is about everything.

Who’s defending this guy.? Himself.? Or does he have representation.?

I think it's time to create a new thread with a fresh, creative title to reflect all the recent developments. Search engines need a little assistance, and "Cederberg" is no longer relevant.

surely they are?! they have those ancient but bulletproof machines with green screens, how does that not link to your id number etc? @andretraut might know

one can only wonder. Having your partner arrested and removed from your home can't be fun.

The Criminal Administration System used by SAPS is interconnected, allowing for immediate detection if an individual charged at one police station is later arrested at another. When it becomes evident that a habitual offender is active across multiple policing jurisdictions, it is standard procedure to consolidate the investigations and assign all related case dockets to a single investigating officer.

That's what I would have thought, seems like there is a missing link here somewhere but we must trust the system.

We are not dealing with Thabo Bester here.

edit: I used to wonder if that night I got into a bit of mischief as a reckless matie would ever come back to haunt me in my future career (they said they "destroy the evidence"!!) - but since Zuma and Trump can make it to the top I no longer worry about it.

On more than one occasion. The question begs, When do the family, or in-laws atleast say "enough is enough"?!

I once lived next door to a guy who would often go on a bender in the evenings after work. These nights culminated in him assaulting his wife. When we asked her why she doesn't just leave him, she said she can't / won't / doesn't want to. He kept on moering her. I heard not long after I moved away that he had a heart attack one evening and didn't survive.

There's some deep psychology going on in these types of situations where the victim somehow justifies the fact that they are being abused.

Admin probably won't allow it. They have cleared many posts off this topic. But I do agree with you. Maybe because it are is Friday it will roll.

The system you are refering to doesn’t exist or is not effective at all..

I have actually been tasked by my representation to seek out other victims and case numbers and jurisdictions etc.. the IO in my case that has two dockets is unaware of other dockets when i know and have the details of at least 7 more.. and in the process of convincing four other victims to open cases.. the systems horribly broken..

I’ve done more work in 48 hours and achieved more than months with saps..

that was with my laptop and a mobile phone, and street smarts, although I didn’t have to get out of bed 🤣🤣🤣

Not saying you are entirely wrong with your statement, but you do know that Andre Traut is a Colonel in the SAPD.  I'm imagining the System he described is the theory, and we all know it's not always implemented/used in that way.

How did I know that was going to be the case.! 😅🤣🤣🤣 he was a saps employee..

I know there is a system as my complaint went off to the computer room and once completed on the system I received the CAS Number via text..

the system is however not effective as suggested at linking cases.. I only ever talk from what I have personally experienced..

Just a little hijack, but in line with the content of this thread, my best mate from school whose family I have known since 1984 phoned me from NZ on Sunday distraught.  His father who still lives in SA and is a 77yo pensioner was scammed out of his life's savings - almost R1M.  He felt he wanted to invest R300k of his savings in something that would yield a bit more growth, did some research on the Web, clicked on a link and the rest is history.  They took the initial money and then gained access to his PC and took the balance.  He now has to sell his house to survive.  Heartless bastards these scammers.  They have no compassion whatsoever.

So those of you who have Pensioner parents - please let them know about this - it's the only way we will ever stop these *******.
