The  Tokai are 90 % open After the fires and then heavy rains .

Level 4 from above the boulders trailhead and level 5 remain closed but we are optimistic that these sections will be reopened in September 2025.

After the heavy  rains the Boulders trails and Fairy Gardens have quite a bit of work and remodling and the trails are running great.

The Tokai trails are located in the Tokai Reserve and subject to SANPARK  regulations

However all trail repairs and maintenance undertaken by the TokaiMTB Trail team is solely funded by members' annual subscriptions.private donations and trail sign sponsorship.

We are very grateful to all the  contributions .

The Hub sponsors the Boulders trail.

Our trail team has noted that people are still riding Tokai despite the widely publicized temporary closure. The closure is to afford our team the opportunity to attend to the repair of fire damaged trails.

Trails that have just been attended to are being ridden and damaged again leading to additional repairs being required, adding to the costs incurred by TokaiMTB.

Please don't ride the trails until they are officially reopened in a few weeks time.

What selfish muppets! All they're doing is giving ammo to those who'd like to see the mountain closed to cycling because "the mtbing is causing terrible erosion" etc... 🤦‍♂️
