Can we move onto the 'untamed' claim now...

The trails used by Epic are often prepared/repaired in months prior to the event, eg. Tygerberg MTB trail network. I wouldn't call this untamed...just my opinion, but I've not ridden Epic so hardly qualified to comment.

Same category as you not a real mountain biker unless you did the Epic as the saying goes or it’s the TDF of mountain biking. Both a load of **** for narccistic personalities to make themselves feel important.

doing the Argus without having a “cold” the week before is more challenging and harder than FC or Epic it seems

@J Wakefield There's a J Wakefield that did the Cape Epic and did not finish in 2008, is that person you?

Cape Epic from 2010 onwards is the toughest race in SA.

FC not a race

Munga not a race

& When it comes to UCI sanctioned races, Epic is one of the toughest races an amateur can enter in the world, facts.

If you put the entire world population through Epic and Munga, I believe more people will finish the munga because the epic requires a much better all round athlete.

With that being said, I found Munga to be notably harder than the prestigious beloved Absa Cape Epic

That settles it then. No need to thank me, Back to work!

Someone needs to tell Dricus C that Munga isn't a race - cos 47 hours and change isn't exactly bikepacking

and also tell Kevin that pre 2010 the Cape Epic wasn't a race. It was just a a bike trekking event won fought over by world champion and olympians
