FACTS OF THE DAY

Today in 1975 Jaws is released.

 

And for months after that, years even, I refused to close my eyes under water...

.........pppssstttt....closing your eyes would not have helped in anyway .....

Yes I would, but I would be the dude swimming under water pulling on the peoples legs during the daaaa-dum, daa-daum dadum! Part  :devil:

I guess you could say their jaws would be left gaping as they scream..? ;)

Reminds me when I did my military service.  One night we were watching the movie Arachnaphobia.  Our sergeant was watching with us but most of us has seen the movie.  At the end where this big spider jumps out at the guy we all went .... WHA!!!  The seargent fell off his chair, his face as white as a bed sheet (unlike his underwear that was everything but white).

Less damage to the container ship, makes you wonder on what boat you would rather be.

 

"That leads us to the third thing we can safely know: accountability. It won't be just the Navy that gets the lash here. Careers will be dashed. People will be punished. Short of battle at sea, Navy warships are not supposed to hit anything -- not the ground, not each other, and certainly not container ships in the middle of the night."

 

The commanding officer, who was asleep at the time, will almost certainly be the first to go.

I wonder why the container ship made that high speed U-Turn? From its flight path(Not sure what its called for a ship) it looked like he was aiming for that Navy vessel.

Something definitely was not right, Just not sure who to blame.
