Could be, but I think it’s more that people in SA only give a crap about themselves.

I think you nailed it there..

Given that criminals in this country are just as likely to shoot or stab you as rob you, I think Most people are more concerned with not risking there lives.

Heard that a woman shot and killed a guy who was robbing her grandma.Guy tried to grab her gold chain while they were standing at a red traffic light.Guy was choking the grandma so driver pulled out gun and shot the perp in the head.

Jip, heard about it too. Even saw picture of perp laying in the street. 

Glock 17 "one up" between her legs, double tapped him two in the head. 

How accurate this is, I dunno. Is about the gist of it.

would love to know what happened afterwards. wonder if she was charged or if they confiscated the gun away or anything. The law is not too kind to people who are protecting themselves

According to our president we do not need to arm ourselves for self defense. Apparently it is not so dangerous in SA that you need a firearm. 

this the same guy who didnt notice the blatant theft and looting for 10 years?
