MTB Specific: What Tyre Pressures

Recommended Posts

30 in front, 35 in back.

I'm a heavy oke - 105kg. But as I get lighter, I'll release pressure.

I'm also on the heavy side (103kg) but run 0.8bar in the front and 1.8-2.0 in the rear. Works well for me. This is on Crossmark ust's Edited by lyslexic

If you have a hardtail pressure becomes much more important. I run the front just hard enough so it doesn't wash out sideways, probably about 1.7. The back a touch more. I'm 83kgs.

My 1st time on a 29er and will be trying 1.3bar front and 1.6bar rear. I weigh 77kg. Guess it is trial and error. I am running a racing ralph/rocket ron combo

Thought this would be a good place to ask a tyre related question.

Just got a new Racing Ralph to replace another. Question is where do I put it - front or back? Will be keeping the other one, cause that's still fine.

I was under the impression (when riding with a pair of tyres) that the new one will go upfront? Thats what I do with my Crossmarks.

The widest one in the front.

78kg and run 2bliss with 1.8 rear 1.7 front and works well across most surfaces. Above 2bar they start feeling less grippy and below 1.6 too floppy. (Which btw were the names of the two dwarfs that went into the porn industry)

i thought that was Stiffy and Dicky...

Ran a 26er full suss at 1.7 and 1.8 on the recent Cape Pioneer. My weight was around 77 kg. Was perfect for the rocky conditions.

2.5-2.8 bar... Tubes, 2.5 tyres, not taking chances for snakebites. Grips plenty.

You must be riding only amongst the pretty flowers ,that's why you are still on tubes

Been riding at 2.0 on Conti MK's tubeless front and rear, thinking of dropping to 1.8 or so. Ride's way too bouncy still. Technical descents are downright scary.
