I'm a wee bit nervous. Being a road noob.

I have only clocked about 500 odd km's on a roadbike. Will keep left.

You can easily spot me by my baggies and avoid me accordingly.

What is your starting group?

Just received a "Rider's brief" mail for this event, bla bla "As a pre-entrant" bla...

Yeah, good luck with that, I'm doing the Herald this weekend, definitely didn't enter the B&D...

Thought it was only me that was special

...

(Nice route though. Hekpoort and Honingklip - proper bumps!)

Me too, with approx same amount of k's. Will look out for the baggies :)

And a classic zeus roadbike with tubbies....

this idea is sounding worse and worse, the more I think about it.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this.

Started too fast, luckily I could hook up to a group with a good steady pace, basically rode in this group till vrekpoort. Ran out of legs going up there, used the excuse of a nature break to get the HR down and finish the rest of the hill. Chilled till Hospital hill, which in my mind was a lot worse than it ended up being.

All in a well organised event, no issues with vehicles or other riders.

Aimed to finish in 4h ended up with a 3:57.

beers at the finish was great!

Roll on Argus!
