Pro tips for buying 2nd hand coffee equipment:

1. If the machine gets hot and its going for cheap buy it. Don't be scared to get stuck in.

2. Share the stoke. If you don't need it or use it pass the deal on to someone who can, that **** will come back to you.

3. NO V12Man you can't have my Olympia.

As an example, On OLX or gumtree cant remember which one is a Gaggia Baby for CHEAP... If you want a good little machine buy it.

Parts can be had and there are endless threads on the internet regarding them

Thank you everyone.

What is the recommended dilution for the vinegar in the water tank?

I will also go look for the Citric Acid Powder.

I figured that if I open it up, I won't be able to put it back perfectly.

Luckily there is some water coming through. Checked yesterday again. So will try it with either vinegar or Citric Acid powder tonight.

Which one would you guys recommend of the two?

I'd try vinegar first, pour in neat, perhaps add a little water if the place to get descaled has quite a large volume. Just buy 3 or 4 bottles of cheapie vinegar, around R5 a bottle.

Got my mazzer from him too. He seems to have a knack for the second hand coffee trade...

Yip. Got a La Cimbali Domus from him, before that an Isomac La Cafetera.
