TSS-600 for the week, was a lazy bum. (Bunked a 3 hour ride yesterday) TSS 235 IF 0.87 for the Nissan Trailseeker 70km a smidge over 3hours. Tells me I should have tried harder!!

Anyone using Vector?

 

My Edge 500 takes forever to "pick up" the PM when I need to calibrate it and when it starts calibrating it never finishes?

 

It just says "calibrating" and I stand there like an idiot for 10min. and get no power readings.

 

Anyone have any clever ideas?

I'm on vectors. do you have latest firmware update, V2.4? mine also seem to take a tad longer, but only 15s or so after the update.

Interesting tapering week before the Sunday race in Worcester - 94er fast and flat:

 

Two rides only, with 3 days of work travel in Jozi.

 

55 mins, TSS 86, IF, 0,91 (a few intervals)

 

Race day 2:24, TSS 201' IF 0,95

Where can I find the "TSS for Dummies" guide.

 

I know what TSS and IF stand for, but what does it mean, how do I interpret the scores and how do I use them practically ?

Training Stress Score. Intensity Factor. Go play around on www.trainingpeaks.com. All the info is there on TSS and IF

I'll recover a little after a hard two days and then try to do a solid FTP test on Saturday.

Thx, I am on Trainingpeaks, and i can read the numbers, but what do they mean in practice?

 

I need the simple version of the theory and what it says about my exercise and fitness improvement..

My question is still do the individual numbers mean that much or is it OK to just monitor one's PMC and watch fitness (to see if you're improving, stagnating or just getting sleg) and form (how moeg you are and to help with 'tapering' for an event)?
