Would love one of these, but they are so moer expensive for a Aluminium  frame.  There something about the dolphin blue that just work on all bikes...moth to a flame

Conclusion

Sometimes in life it’s the simple things that are the best. Some will discount the Orange as a “heavy filing cabinet”, but be warned, in our testing the Stage 6 effortlessly chewed up and spat out many more expensive carbon rivals. While there may be bikes that are calmer though the chatter – there are few that are so rewarding at the limit as the Orange Stage 6 Factory. However, at £5,500 for the Factory Model, only a few will have deep enough pockets to enjoy this dream build model.

those words irritate me. In some ways, there's more care and attention, not to mention skill, in putting together a very well sorted alu frame. Carbon is not "better" than aly, and in many cases I'd take a sorted alu frame over an equivalently priced carbon one. Nicolai, Orange, BTR fab (steel) Mercer (steel) etc.

The skill and handiwork required to put a frame like this together, with the care and attention that they do, does not come cheap. These are not some dollar per hour labourers welding up the frames. It's Orange. Made in the UK. That does not come cheap.

Agreed - especially an ali frame in it's raw state, all exposed that ticks all the boxes

Agreed. I prefer the alu over carbon. Although, I do have a carbon bicycle as well.
