Jbr Posted September 26, 2019 Share haha only thing I hurt is the knees, those ION zip kneepads are awesome, unfortunately I only fall when I'm not wearing them I dont exactly get knee pads, only time i fell on my knees was while running... While cycling my only places i get hit is shins, back of knee, shoulders, hands, chest and head..But never on my knees. Guess it has to do with the natural way you fall??Have broke/dislocated knee, but that was due to foot stayin behind while me and the bike carried on. For fox stuff, I buy online as well on foxracing.co.za, watchout tho, I had a issue with socks getting holes in them after 2 rides, they never answered back.. Super comfy, and they wear well. So surprised you had holes after 2 rides. Perhaps a bad batch with pre-existing faults or moths?

Unless there are some specials over on CRC (Black Friday maybe?) I won't be changing from the Ribbon Coil for a while, sadly. Well not that sadly but you know... Next on the list are We Are One Composite Agent Rims. Edited October 9, 2019 by T-Bob Eddy Gordo and Hairy

patches Posted October 15, 2019 Share Do you lads and lasses get Mons Royale gear in South Africa? It's pretty big over here. High quality merino wool MTB clothing. It's like the next level up from TLD in terms of street cred, http://static1.squarespace.com/static/555e6f54e4b003d47ad24b6d/55e7a115e4b051a0962a5d67/55e7a354e4b051a0962b1a99/1425030209000/MR-Bike1.jpg?format=original http://static1.squarespace.com/static/555e6f54e4b003d47ad24b6d/55e7a115e4b051a0962a5d67/55e7a354e4b051a0962b1a93/1425030204000/MR-TomacT-Spice_Bike-guy01.jpg?format=original really nice stuff. Just on the pricey side though. Approx R1300 for a shirt, R2200 for shorts. Capricorn and T-Bob

Here's some fake happy models The gear is pretty comfy... well I can only speak for my 1 shirt (gift) and a balaclava (all I can afford from them @ R400). I use that on the dirt bike in winter. They do ranges on underwear too in #enduro colours. You can google that one when you're not at work, hahaha! It's nice kit, I had one of the original Merino jerseys which was awesome and for what it was it was worth the price I paid. Not just another climacool jersey with a random print. Shame you can't get locally. I'd happy replace most of my jerseys down to 2 really good tops.

Yeah the merino is great at temperature regulation and breath-ability. Trust nature right! When I first saw Mons Royale gear I thought it was some fancy French/Swiss alpine brand. I soon learnt that it was a New Zealand company, headquartered in Wanaka (a town about 1hr from Queenstown). I see on their site they have NZ, Aus, Switzerland, rest of Europe, Canada and US. You're based in Aus, aren't you? Do you see much of their stuff there? I know the Macpac and Kathmandu (both headquartered from Christchurch) have a decent representation in Aus, but have never noticed Mons Royale much. Maybe they need to add SA to their list of countries to export to, I'll get on on that action!
