Wouldn't it just piss you off if you opened your Strava profile and found that 3 of your ligitimate rides were flagged, all in the space of 5 minutes? Yes, I know that you can now just "unflag" them yourself, but some idiot was probably pissed off because I took his KOM and is now just flagging all my rides for no reason.

Strava cannot reveal the name of the flagger, so there is just nothing I can do about it.

Am I taking this too serious or would it also piss you off?

I don't do many races thus I use Strava to gauge my progress against a few people that I respect and trust so yeah, it would seriously cheese me off if I started getting flagged for no reason.

Thanks, so I am not crazy. Around here (Stellenbosch) you have to really haul ass to get a KOM. If someone then just flags your ride it doesn't go down well.

I disagree... if you've gone out an legitimately done KOM's then its just sour grapes if someone else flags your segments

Why? does one have to return their medal and prize money?

I cant help but think how Strava has promoted unsafe riding on roads.

If you look at some segments in town it is clear that you will need to jump robots/stop signs to keep a high enough avg to take KOM's

I think its a great way of staying motivated but I do think that people take it to seriously.

Apparently. Don't have any but it seems the thing to do is to target certain sections and ride them 10-20 times on a ride.

I use strava to check which of my tjommies have been doing secret training camps....sneaky russians

Who goes out to purposely try and get a KOM, bit sad aint it.

Why is being competitive sad? So you reckon all competitive sportsmen should get a life? Go tel Usain Bolt not to try so hard in the 100m dash - its just sad.

My rides get flagged because people think I must have been running to go so slow

Chunks I know nothing about Strava, but then I am a pretend cyclist... what are these flags you speak of... chequered ones, red ones????

just delete the ride and upload it again happened to me too. dont think you are taking this too seriously, i mean you put in the effort so its your reward. And while you are at it, go flag some of the other guy's rides... muhuwahahaha ;)
