RDK. Never had to use it but I beleive there are sweep vehicles.

 

Now there is a flash back.......back in the day....many moons ago, the 94.7 was in fact 200km for the Elite bunch.

I shared a bakkie with Fritz Pienaar when we dropped from the main bunch and got swept up.......

Starting in S group with my dad. He is 90 years old and will be 91 in March, just in time for the Argus - very proud!

Think this will be his 10th 94.7 - Hope I am still going strong when I get to his age!

Forget the camelbak...lots of water tables where you can fill up....I am going with one bottle, tube, 2 bombs, multitool, adapter, snotplugs....and that is for three bikes.

If you going 1 bottle route, stop at every water table in the second half of race if you not expecting a sub 5 hour race. Its warm on the highway

Aiming for 4:30 so will think about it again.....

Exactly the same as last yr... Sounds like might be a significant change in 2014 so get in those PB's just in case it swings longer again!

According to accuweather, there is a 61% change of rain next Sunday, with gust winds predicted at 47km/h.. Should the weather actually be like this on race day, I guess there will be no personal best. (Then again most of these weather forecast apps has been totally inaccurate)

Unless I really, really (really) train a bit more, I might have a chance of bettering my PB.

2:21 - that was a moment to treasure in 2008.

 

Even my PB for the MTB/Road combined time might stand for ever... 4:48 (2:21 + 2:27)

Rouxtjie only stops at watertables to lube his S/S and to help the cherries carry the Coke crates. He carries the bottle to rescus Chuck Norris.

In my experience Weather 24 is much more acurate than Accuweather. They predict sunny with 15% chance of rain, 13 km/h wind. MUCH BETTER

I don't pay attention to weather predictions of more than 3 days.
