Any Alan Parker fans out there? One of my fave films, and wonderfully scored by Peter Gabriel…

Saw this as a play with Nick Borain (sp?) and loved it.

Glad you mentioned Michael Caine.

His 1st big debut was in Zulu (1964) where where he play a poncy field captain, shot in the 'berg on the Tugela with the Amphitheater as the back drop

Then came The Ipcress File (1965), Alfie (1966) - both classics!

Enjoyed The Italian Job (1969) and Get Carter (1971)

Educating Rita (1983) was great, as has been most of his films.

Check out Alfie at least.

Hah, yeah, one of Steve Martins better movies. I still chuckle at that part where he pretends his legs are lame.....!

Another chuckle is "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" John Candy was a hoot there as well.

His recent ones are rubbish though (Steve not John) and makes me think he will do any nonsense to make a few bucks, the "Better by the dozen" series is a case in point, pure drivel.

Two movies I can't wait for, the last Hobbit movie and the next Hunger Games.

Don't know why they felt the need to make the hobbbit a trilogy.. it really isn't a long book and they could've done it in one movie.. suppose gotta cash in hey.

Three movies = a lot more money!
