and the usual..."never heard of it, never took it, dont know how it ended up in my system"..............

Let's be fair, it is very plausible.

I take medications and stuff at times and have no idea what might be in there that is a banned substance.

Personally I will give that statement of his the benefit of the doubt.

Short and sweet explanation of what it does (and what dose is required to act as masking agent):

So if he knew this before then why bother using this stuff if you going to get bust anyway? Unless he literally filled his bottle with it between crossing the TT finish line and taking the test. For now ill give him the benefit of doubt and say he has gout.

Ja but.. he is a pro cyclist, he should know exactly what goes into his body.. at all times.

but you are not a pro cyclist that rides for a international team, surely the team doctor keeps a close eye on what the riders may and may not use?

But will give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but this is not going to end good

Devil's advocate. I know this quote is going to appear in the media tomorrow, but it's worth posing here now: Why would anyone knowingly take it at the time of champs? Especially when you're defending your title, and are a shoo-in to win, and thus will be tested.

100% correct - as a pro cyclist under the microscope at all times he should not take a Panado without first consulting his physician/team doctor. If it's the case, it's not just failing a doping test, but failing an IQ test.

Love him or dislike him but at least David George didn't waste time with the b sample. He, uniquely amongst those with "adverse analytical findings", said yep, I did it.

Other than our hubber mate who got pinged for weight adding dope at the Epic last year....

yeah and he did it to look good! not to win.

Reading the description posted earlier of what and how the drug is used and works it would be interesting to know what amounts were found
