Harley Davidson Road Hogs

Clearly Ive hit a nerve, if Ive offended you, I dont apologise.

Not at all, I also do not ride a Harley (see earlier post)... one bad apple/incident does not make all the same, same as cyclists and cars.... yet you feel it necessary to demonize all harley owners?.. for self gratification perhaps?

It's ironic to me how two wheelers, all under threat from four wheelers, can still bicker and insult. But if MTB and roadies can't get on its too much to expect Hog and bicycle pilots to find common ground (or road). Dual sport bikes and Hogs are like cat and dog in the internet bravery stakes.

I guess it's the Tower of Babel and broedertwis playing out again and again.

read my earlier post which I spoke about my imperial sockets.

If I had stereotyped them as all the same my mate wouldnt be my mate, would he?

Yah, I agree, I ride a Harley and I love it. I have riden bikes all my life and i have enjoyed every minute of it, I make no apologies.

The issue is not about people who ride Harley's or BMW's, its not about people who drive Audi's or Merc's, these generalisations are insulting, and the often tossed in "fat" comment is unnecessary as well,... ....the issue has nothing to do with these modes or brands of transport, its an issue of a perceived (rightly or wrongly) injustice. Nothing more, Nothing less.

If an issue cant be discussed without resorting to derogatory and insulting comments, in my opinion there is really nothing much else to say.

How is the vagina Grumpy ?

I must say, some of these Harley's are OTT for me, but something like this I would absolutely love.

To the "Marshalls" that escorted a bunch of Harley Davidson road hogs through the Cradle at 09h50 yesterday sunday 10 Aug, round the traffic circle close to the Lion & Rhino park. 6 road cycling friends were "pushed" to the side of the road, to allow these ever mighty road hogs to drive through unhindered. There were about 20 "motor cyclists" going through. Would these marshalls kindly explain, what was the purpose of this gesture. Are these guys so fat or their bikes so wide, that they need to resort to these bully tactics? The front most rider was riding 0,5m outside the yellow line, that demarcates the cycling lane through the cradle. We managed to speak to the tail marshall, and he did not take responsibility for his colleagues action. :cursing:

Very interesting thread

Couple of my bro's rode their this weekend, according to them the cyclist where all over the place after the small climb to that circle.

As we all know, cyclists, especially Roadies think they own the road.

Its about time they get taught a lesson.

Then to all the Harley haters, HATERS GONNA HATE.

Grow up, maybe then you can afford to buy a HD
