I've seen one today at Ride Life in George, flippen awesome bike. Nice golden color with eagle 1x12. But no remote lockout for rear shock is disappointing to say the least.

Giant have always claimed that their Meastro suspension system does not need a lockout, if the shock is correctly inflated you are not suppose to suffer from pedalbob and therefore don't need a lockout.

Not sure on how the suspension is supposed to perform on a climb though and I haven't really spent enough time on a duall-sus to speak out of experience.

Yeah also I have very seldom ever locked out suspension fully on the Trance X29, Trance Advanced or even on the Anthem - Meastro was good enough to never need anything more than a well setup rear shock on Fox pro-pedal or firm setting on Rockshox. Even when racing XC.

And also I don't see the need on a trail ripper bike - maybe an XC race bike yes.

I always had to laugh at the other brands that "had to have it"

Suppose pedaling technique is another area which needs to be addressed - YOU are the most inefficient thing on the bike...

It's a trailbike, no trailbikes (with the exception of Scott) have remote lockouts. Remote lockout would make sense on an Anthem.

Anyone got a new Trance 29 to post?

One of my new toys.

I might be bias but really enjoying the ride on the new Trance.

Definitely feels like it has more travel than 115mm at the back but pedals very well, minimal bob if any.

I have been using it for a bit of distance and have not been holding back on the fun stuff

Awesome... Would love to upgrade my Anthem 29er to one of those! Hope there are some used ones on the market in a year or two!

Got a great deal on Trance 27.5 4 over the holidays... got the bike on the 2nd Jan and have been doing a full rebuild using all the good stuff from my hardtail including the newer Epixon TR 140mm fork, XT 1x drivetrain, dropper, pretty much everything

All I needed to do was rebuild the rear hub as the freehub was toast and add tyre sealant when I

swapped tyres & Cssix foamo inserts. Just finished it on Sunday so riding this week.. whoop whoop

This is my dream bike! Trance 29 built from the frame only option. It's metallic green mostly but goes a vibrant purple at certain angles the sun!

This bike makes me bite my fist!

Joh, that's pretty!

Mine, after the latest upgrade. Really digging the Lyrik now that I've got to know it. Sorry Marz, but the slimmer newer fork is a nice change. Not that I don't still love you, your open bath dampered coil fork goodness is still the best. I wish you were just 33% lighter...
