I wonder if the rule details the actual syringe type that would lead to DQ. Would it be a complete hypodermic rig with a needle attached or packed, or does even the 60 ml syringe shell that one may use to fill sealant into tyres for example , also do the trick?

He wasn't DQ'd he voluntarily withdrew himself.

Why did it take so long to release the statement, and surely his/team mech would have that equipment or does CSA expect our athletes to service their own equipment?

I'm sure it is a big misunderstanding and will be cleared up in no time.

There is a huge misconception that those doing the testing are morons and don't know what they doing.Believe me these guys have been doing it for years, they know what to look for.Im pretty sure they know the difference between a syringe for insulin, one for slime and one for drugs. They know the riders on the circuit and when you make such a dramatic improvement as he did in his last race you can be sure they will target you.

The question is,did they take any bloods from him and are there results outstanding?
