The meaning of this phrase is when there is a rumor of wrongdoing then there must be something behind it. It cannot refer to the syringe as that is not a rumor that is fact.

 

If this phrase was meant to refer to the syringe then what is being said is; if a syringe was actually found then there was actually a syringe.

 

Oh forget about it......

I wonder if the Anti doping mob did not look at RC's last world cup effort, raise an eyebrow and purposefully go sniffing around....

 

I really hope it was a syringe for bleeding his brakes or that he had permission to use one for some sort of medical condition.

 

It would be interesting to know where the syringe was found exactly...

Are we really speculating whether he was found with a brake bleed kit? I mean, really? Really really?

 

I know anti-doping agencies can fumble around a bit and haven't exactly covered themselves in glory regarding testing protocol in the last decade...
