Maktec is good as long as you are the only one using it.

Tool prices are just way over the top - and they charge because we pay.

Sometimes I think Ryobi is best because if it breaks you just throw it away and buy another. Buy three or four Ryobies for the price of any other.

I see they have the 5Ah batteries for R 1620  -  R324 per Ah  vs   R376 per Ah for the 3Ah.

Besides the economy of scale, going to mean less battery changes, which inevitably need doing at the most inconvenient times.

I think they also have  6Ah on the market overseas now.

Yes, will get those later. For a impact driver I want to keep the tool as light as possible. For other tools and the drill the 5Ah works better.

You'll be very happy with that machine, Jimmy. Got exactly the same one and it's a pleasure to use.

That's if I get it. Another hubber has first option. [emoji26]

not the best picture but finished a desk for the study. Going to secure it to the wall on the left side and going to put a piece of Perspex on top to give a smooth surface to work on

perspex + desk working surface = lots of fine scratches

don't mind that. Toughened glass will just be too expensive at the moment and Perspex will be safer with the little kids around
