One year when I have time to do a 2nd lap, I will race to the bar one stop and just park off there till the sweep vehicle comes and then I will push the last rider. Or help the bar one people pack up............

I always wanted to stop at this waterpoint at the CTCT and 94.7, but a PB is still my nuber 1 goal.

In 2015 at the Argus lite, we made a fun ride of this and stopped at the Bar one point and made sure we've made up for all the previous times we've missed it. I think I/m good for another 3 or 4 years, hehe

Physio has just told me she doesn't think I should ride the MTB event on Sunday because it will aggravate my knee and make the Argus tough. Tempted to disregard her advice - thing is deep down I know she's right.

But might effect a sub 3 performance

Doubt it. If you just eat what you normally eat your body is more likely to know what to do.

If there was a magic potion that gives a rocket boost when consumed we'd all be living in ancient Gaul and use Getafix's potion before all sport.  Oh wait, the pros do this already will blood bags....

And you needed a physio to post that on the road thread? Find that non event thread here: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/166468-event-cape-town-cycle-tour-mtb-challenge/

Going solo this year.... one gear fixed hub.... Hoping to finish, that's it....

48/16..... ?

Definitely doable on the hills going up but I wouldn't want to be you on some of the faster sections downhill, that will be crazy leg speed.

Yes, so far it looks to be a cool one. Time to pray. Well, I will take what I get. But my wife and younger son is doing their first and will need all the help they can get seeing that they start just before 10.

i rode last year on my MTB, ratio 42x18.

it wasn't that bad, on most of the flat sections, averaged between 32-35km/hr

and yes was high cadence, but no insane, if cape_diver doing it on a thin wheeled fixie should be faster, no?
