lerouc Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 is this a hint of what is to come since the CL rumors?
Furbz Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 my wife has a set of these and we have nothing of the sort happening on her wheels.def a warranty replacement case imo. fight it bud. Good Luck
Patchelicious Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Well done for making a well reasoned and rational post. If I was back 3 times, I would have thrown a proper tantrum already! http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc275/Dani-Death/Cartoons/Tantrum.gif If things are as you say, I believe that you have a valid claim.
Patchelicious Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 is this a hint of what is to come since the CL rumors? HOW would this be a CL thing??
Patchelicious Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Yes, and the agents should see the wheels in the flesh. I have found the average sales guy at CWC a tad clueless and as a rule would say things like this should be escalated to the top quite quickly rather than expecting the junior staff member to give opinions like this. My gut feel is that this is BS and the agents would replace the wheels. Which agents to CWC use?
Eugene Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Those are alum wheels with a carbon laminate on the outside. I'm willing to bet the rims are cracked under the layer of carbon. So no, not normal wear and tear.
Pure Savage Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Well done for making a well reasoned and rational post. Would it help to know OP is one of the only level headed Savage riders. Although he has been doing more jogging than riding lately

Id suggest going back, one last time and talk to either of the Chris's. G 3 pages in an no mention of the Consumer Protection Act, I'm impressed! All the closet legal experts must actually be working today haha
Eddy Gordo Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Yeah, go back one last time then get hold of the guys at the CPA department. They are very helpful.
Jurgens Smit Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Why not get a report from a reputable wheel builder? If they claim it's wear and tear and the wheel builder says otherwise wouldn't you have a stronger case to work from?
Wil6 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Why not get a report from a reputable wheel builder? If they claim it's wear and tear and the wheel builder says otherwise wouldn't you have a stronger case to work from? It's for them, CWC, to prove that it is normal wear and tear.
eddy Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I know nothing about rims so can't help you, but I wanted to say that you have got very lekker takkies on them......
Pure Savage Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 The funny thing, from reading this thread I remembered I needed to order my pedals from CWC. Lets just hope they last more than 6 months
Rocket-Boy Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I dont think CWC goes looking through threads on here randomly. It would probably need their name in the subject of for one of them to be sent a PM for them to notice it.
