I recently picked up my boards. I don't mind pink generally (I dive with a pink SMB) but yeah, pink was an unfortunate choice for the TMTBC boards . The older blue boards looked nicer.

Also, while riding yesterday at Meerendal I came across an open gate from Meerendal to Diemersdal. It was unmarked except for a "disclaimer" board. Is this maybe part of a new trail  :w00t: ?

he step overs today. We apologize for the inconvenience as you will now have to climb over the gates to cross the fences. As we said, this is only temporary for one week as the nr opens next Friday.

Afternoon to all hubbers, who include members, non members, those who love us one heck of a lot, and those who love us just a lot.

2018 has gone past faster than that E-bike passing me up the (in)famous cement climb to Conties-Towers just the other morning....

We wish you all a joyful festive season, and trust it will be a special time with your family and friends.

For those traveling, PLEASE be safe on the roads - for those not, ride your bike as much as you can and make awesome memories !

Thanks for the support this year and allowing us to make a difference in so many lives, areas, ventures, projects and the sport itself - together we can achieve so much.

Look forward to rolling with all of you in 2019.

Kind Regards

Rode hoogekraal yesterday and the trail is in an excellent condition.  Spotted one massive cobra on the Fair Cape side.  Fortunately it was about 5 metres off the singletrack.  It seemed to have gotten as much of a fright as I did.

Be careful out there...

Looked pretty much like this one:

was riding on occultdale road yesterday about 10 am.met mr or mrs cape cobra in the middle of the road.it just rose its head had a look at me as i had stopped some distance away from it and went off to the side of the road into the bushes.I was amazed at how fast it took off when it decided to leave.I will have to work on my zero to 100 km/h skills

Also had a run in with a big Cape Cobra yesterday. Coming down Dorstberg on a completely blind corner. Just managed to spot half of it on the trail before slamming on anchors and stopping about 2 metres from the guy! He just casually turned and crossed the trail and slithered off into the bushes. Needless to say, my buddy and I took the rest of the descent A LOT slower!

While on the topics of boards. Still people riding without boards on the Altydgedacht corridor this morning. The excuse? "My pa het my board. Hy ry daar voor".....I informed this knob to beat a hasty retreat. He declined my offer. Here's hoping the marshall I passed moments earlier picked him up.
