Having watched all the races this weekend, I do feel that the course seemed a gravelly. It made for high speed, interval racing. 

It did have a lot of climbing in it but with only one run section. For a purpose built course they could have added a bit more variety.

There is a also a bit of difference between North American and Euro CX circuits, the former tends to be in parks, drier, faster with long sweeping sections.

Spent a fair bit of time there. Yorkshire 'ard, tea, and just down the road from York.

Close to the Dales and just far enough away from Manchester.
