I did a 3:51 from A once. 

 

I can't recall the reason I didn't drop back before the start, but there was a logistical issue about meeting up in the runup, but I stopped at the Windmill before UCT and waited for a friend who started much later and we rode together from there on.

I did a bit better than that last year on a 1987 master pretty much nose in the wind - This year I may have a new old Colnago ready just on time and I have a decent wheel in front of me

 

But EDDY you know my daughter wants that horse so I may have to race Jewbacca on his BMX

Imagine doing 7 hours from 1A bunch, you get to enjoy the course and see the entire field of participants pass you...
