any tips for warm ups and still be in the chutes early enough?

Apparently Science shows that  you need to start within 7 minutes of warmup otherwise no point.

You normally sit for about 40minutes in the chute if you want to start anywhere in the region of the front of the group otherwise you going to be right at the back and probably end wrong side of the split right from start

some gumph.  (ok, they suggest 5 minutes recovery, but no longer than 10-15minutes after warmup depending on temperature)

There is a second video that surfaced today from Fadiel addressing Jp Smith and COCT, threatening a definite shut down of the tour.

Have posted info on the CTCT website

Seems this has taken a 180degree turn.

It's just the people of Ocean View are not going to Protest, So who knows where it could be if it goes ahead.

Although it could all be threats to get the answers they are looking for as there is a meeting tomorrow evening between the 2 parties it seems.

Is not threats. Its their plan of action for a call to action to get heard.

Like I said, I can't see why an event that has always promoted equality should get dragged into a spat between CoCT and the communities of Cape Town who are still waiting for service delivery. This has nothing to do with cycling.

The cycle tour shouldn't be sponsored or connected to the CoCT other than for the required permissions

I would not be worried, I am sure there will be enough police metro and private security the night before. All it will cost is the charities that work in those communities as there will be less money from the cycle tour as will be spent on security. It will also not help their cause with the general public either.

ahhhh...sh@%$# spoke too soon, the little bubble of low has already gone past.....as long as those isobars at the bottom of the South Atlantic high off to the left stay like that, we'll be OK.....

Would be keen to hear if his anger is correct to be directed to CoCT or if it should be provincial.

I would also be keen to chat to him to find out if he could not get 35 000 (or more like 30 000) cyclists on his side, and have a real mass protest ...

It's not about the amount of cops you have out there...all it takes is a few petrol bombs being lobbed from the back of the mob...????
