Took one of my wife's old discarded deep sauce pans and I cook up my brew on the electric stove whenever needed. Afterwards I just leave the mix in the pan to cool down and set, then store it away until I need it again. The main benefit for me is that the lube actually gets into the places where it is needed if you "cook" it in the pot/pan. Drip dry and then wipe with a paper-cloth, nothing left on the outside to attract dirt and grime, the chain stays clean for very long. Same, I negociated to steal a glass tupperware, that I put in one of our pots, pour boiling water around it and keep it on the stove to keep it warm. Then it's free (or close to free, because I did promise I would replace that tupperware). She wouldn't let go of one of our pots or pans, since we have induction those are actually more pricy than a slow cooker Vetplant

dasilvarsa Posted April 29, 2022 Share You can also use commercially made lube (Squirt or Other) to do a Deep, Warm, Soak.

No bra , there’s nothing like a bit of alchemy accompanied by wizards chants while sprinkling things into a pot to buy one some free time. FirstV8 Posted April 29, 2022 Share In the 60/70 and 80's before the fancy 8 9 and 10 speeds with thin chains made of lighter material i waxed my chai as well . I used natural bees wax ( have a friend who is a bee farmer ) . I washed the chain in paraffin , let it drip dry and then had a tin can with a handle on and chuck in a lump of bees wax on the stove . The rolled up chain fitted precisely into the tin with hot wax on the stove . I left it in for about 5 minutes to really get into the rollers and then hung it up again wiping off with non lint cloth . That waxing would last at 3 to 4000 kms of riding ( 2 to 3 months ) . I still have the can and some bees wax . Wayne pudding Mol, shaper, Hairy and 3 others
