MORNE Posted December 17, 2020 Share Wat's goeters??? I only learned about the term today in this thread, but I think it's these kind of brake + shift levers. Nope...yes those are technically but if you have a road bike...chances are you have ‘brifters’ on it lol MrJacques

Eddy Gordo Posted December 17, 2020 Share When I was around 8 years old, I learned about jockeys and clusters. I never thought much of it as everyone on my area would refer to these parts. Years later I learned about derailleurs and cassettes. Jewbacca is right about bike snobbery. Some people learn what they told. At the end of the day the front wheels of all cars have shocks!Enjoy riding your bike, be sure to drive with care. Roguemeister Posted December 17, 2020 Share Clips / cleats. It is a clipless pedal.Another one I don't get, how is it a clip less pedal, when you clip your shoe into it
ChrisF Posted December 17, 2020 Share Another one I don't get, how is it a clip less pedal, when you clip your shoe into itThis is the original "toe clip" pedals we used many moons ago, to fix our feet to the pedals. Now you can fix your feet to the pedals without using toe clips, thus "clip less" ... Bonus, Mister B, MORNE and 2 others

Haha Ps: i sometimes refer to my spd pedals as ‘Spuds’ after seeing a gmbn episode where they called a clipless bunnyhop a ‘spudhop’ lol So when LOOK launched the PP65 in 1985 they termed their new innovation Pedales Automatique or automatic pedals. It was the American commentators for CNBC Sports that coined the term "clipless pedals" even though the LOOK brochures very clearly referred to the PP65 as an automatic pedal adapted from a 22yr old LOOK Ski binding design.
