Havent bought anything from them yet but their email communication seems to be ok as they respond regularly. Only thing that i dont understand is that they advertise items on their website as well on social media only to find out that they dont have stock after calling/email .

MOST of the on-line stores do this.

In fact, another known on-line store has a big banner stating that you should first check actual stock levels, as supplier stocks are affected by covid ....

For years most online stores sold a lot of items without the items actually being in their store ... once the client place an order they ordered it in, and shipped it out later that day or the next morning.  Worldwide stock issues now seriously upset this business model ....

This morning I did some homework on ordering MAXXIS tires online .... shop lists prices in rands, even has a SA phone number .... turns out you are actually buying from overseas and typical delivery time is 3 months .....  then again, nobody else has stock, and a local bike shop has indicated they may possibly get those tires in by the "end of the year" !!  Cant be nice working in a shop when you simply cant get stock ....

A bit of hit and miss when it comes to dealing with them. You either get good service, bad service or no service at all.

Sounds like I was just lucky, bought 2 or 3 times from them without an issue.

It does irritate me however that they are not a online shop in the true sense of the word.  They need to get into the 20th century, maybe there will be less of these issues as mentioned then.

I've also burnt my fingers there.

Bought and paid for a new bike only to discover the bike doesn't actually exist, they will build it up with a frame and parts from other bikes. The deal was good so I didn't mind at this stage. I just told them that I'm not a total clown with this stuff so don't send me the wrong parts.

A few weeks later I received the bike with the incorrect stroke shock. Luckily I managed to swop that out directly with the bike manufacturer but it was a long process.

If I had to choose again I would rather pay a bit more. The hassle was more than the R5k I saved.

Let me clarify. I was told they have a small bike but can build the components over to a medium frame before I ordered.

But when it came to building up that medium frame they had to scramble to find components.

and here I wanted to buy their R25 socks....

By the time you receive them, secret sox will be back in fashion.

Rather invest the R25.00. You can send your kid to varsity before you pull those socks over your feet.

Maybe pay a tad more attention to grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation in your next rant. It was quite difficult to follow the timeline of this one.

Harryn are you a teacher? If so then i understand why you comment like that, Spelling might not be perfect i was typing it out of frustration. All the other hubbers understand what i was saying. Maybe see a eye specialist before commenting?

Punctuation and grammar are important. Particularly if you are trying to garner support.
