too soon?....

It's never too soon.

BTW, I watched the race last night, and every single other rider there knew there was no ramp.

Van Der Poel is going to need some thick skin to live this one down.

Proper Japanese Kamikaze. Someone should tell him the war is over. Him and the captain of the boat at the triathlon.

The Dutch didn't participate in WWII officially. So the kamikaze is a about 80 years too late ????

If run like normal XC then yes, often before they are lapped, the are constantly culling slower riders from the back each lap to stop congestion in bottlenecks by slower riders.

Hopefully not culling but maybe that's what the Dutch BMXer was practicing?

Neff waaaaay upfront.

Swiss are in with a chance of a 1, 2, 3 here.

Got my timing totally wrong and switched on just in time to see that. Missed the whole bloody race!

Nice for Jolanda!
Long recovery road since her big injury a while ago.

24th for Candice 10min 34 down. Good going to come in ahead of Eva Lechner

Yolanda road like her old self today. Looked so comfortable and confident through the rock gardens. The French ladies spent too much time and energy during the first two laps racing each other releasing Yolandie. She didn't even need the ramp. MVDP should take some lessons from her.

And women want equal prize money. Pffftttt.

Most of them didn't need it though. Only PFP and Loana of the front runners were using the ramp probably to safe energy. Its there so why not

Great ride by Kata Blanca-Vas

What a race by the Swiss ladies. A clean sweep of the podium and very well deserved. Just loved the way the ladies came to congratulate Jolanda as soon as they crossed the line, shows in what regard she's held by the others. A fantastic race today in tough, almost brutal conditions.
